Talascend is currently seeking a Financial Analyst Auditor for a contract opportunity with our client in Warren, Michigan.
Overview
This role analyzes procurement contract reports to identify errors, mitigate risk, recover overpayments, and ensure contracts reflect accurate pricing. The analyst collaborates with buyers and other stakeholders to communicate audit results and improve processes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze contract reports to identify errors.
- Prepare high-quality deliverables communicating contract issues.
- Interface with buyers and other stakeholders to review audit results.
- Support negotiations with suppliers.
- Drive the closure of open audits and recovery of overpayments within stipulated time frames.
- Meet or exceed assigned performance indicators and targets, including touch rate, case aging, and cost recoveries.
- Perform special studies at leadership request.
- Support training for new team members.
- Support and lead special projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced spreadsheet skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formulas.
- Ability to learn new processes and technical skills at a rapid pace.
- Problem-solving, critical-thinking, and strong analytical abilities.
- Initiative to find creative solutions for improving current processes.
- Desire for continued self-improvement and development of new skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal instruction.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and develop strong partnerships.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and projects and multitask within restricted time constraints without sacrificing timeliness or quality of work.
