Talascend is currently seeking a Production Planner for a contract opportunity with our client in Rochester, New York.

Overview

This role involves managing inventory, processing purchase requisitions, generating reports, and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth operation of indirect material procurement and inventory management. The position offers a fast-paced and dynamic environment with opportunities for problem-solving and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Generate daily usage reports utilizing Excel and GSC software
  • Perform daily inventory adjustments in SAP
  • Generate purchase requisitions for special crib orders and manage purchase orders with suppliers
  • Manage daily feedback reporting and resolve out of stock and low inventory issues
  • Maintain shared email communications and resolve purchase request and order issues
  • Process spot buy requisitions and work with purchasing to generate purchase orders
  • Adjust re-order and max inventory levels based on usage trends and production plans
  • Edit and move crib pictures
  • Manage HP printer supplies and coordinate repairs for crib coded items
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies and manage receipt issues in SAP and GSC
  • Handle purchase requests on hold and oversee open orders
  • Manage new material code setup requests in SAP and GSC
  • Oversee bulk gas PO generation and blanket POs for fastener programs
  • Support annual inventory assessments and team training on software tools

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in inventory management or related fields
  • Experience working with SAP and large warehouse components
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting experience or mindset
  • Business administration background
