Talascend is currently seeking a Service and Repair Technician I for a contract opportunity with our client in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Overview

This role involves configuring and deploying handheld mobile devices, contributing to process improvement initiatives, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The technician will work primarily during daytime hours on a rotating schedule, including occasional weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage in all facets of the configuration and depot process for mobile devices
  • Configure and deploy handheld products for customers, including devices from Honeywell, Samsung, Apple, and Zebra
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the lab, focusing on process enhancement, variation reduction, cycle time reduction, and cost savings
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a team setting
  • Be flexible to assist in other departments as needed
  • Work hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Monday to Friday)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a relevant field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in configuring and repairing mobility devices or related equipment
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and mobility device standards
