Electronics Test Technician
Talascend is currently seeking an Electronics Test Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Clearwater, Florida.
Overview
This role involves performing diverse technical tasks related to testing advanced electronics assemblies for space and defense applications, including troubleshooting, fault isolation, and environmental testing. The technician will execute well-defined tests, handle delicate components, and maintain detailed test documentation, supporting team interactions and continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation of electronic assemblies.
- Setup, program, and operate special test equipment to execute acceptance procedures.
- Conduct dynamic, thermal, and functional testing on various assemblies.
- Maintain detailed test logs and follow detailed test procedures accurately.
- Support environmental testing and system integration activities.
- Assist with equipment and lab maintenance, adhere to safety standards, and standardization protocols.
- Communicate effectively with test technicians and engineers, including daily shift updates.
Qualifications
- Associates, technical degree, or equivalent military training/experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an electronics discipline.
- Ability to read schematics and follow procedures.
- Experience with guidance and navigation electronics systems and environmental testing is a plus.
- Proficiency with general purpose test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, DMMs, and logic analyzers.
- Ability to generate clear technical documentation and maintain attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including overtime and weekends, as business needs require.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, with prior military service a plus.
