Talascend is currently seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Overview

The role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within commercial facilities. The technician will work primarily on HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal operation and repairing various building systems to maintain safety and functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts
  • Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, door closers, doors, and furniture
  • Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers and other building systems
  • Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps
  • Prepare, prime, and paint building interior and exterior surfaces; perform general handyman tasks to maintain buildings
  • Complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and general maintenance as assigned
  • Prioritize all preventative maintenance, corrective, and emergent work orders for the site
  • Comply with all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping in work areas
  • Recognize danger and safety hazards, propose methods to eliminate them
  • Maintain compliance with applicable ordinances, codes, or laws
  • Update work order status in real-time using the CMMS system

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
  • Proficient in basic computer applications such as MS Office, Outlook, CMMS (Maximo), etc.
  • Related experience and/or training in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
  • Proficiency in computer systems, applications, and database software

Preferred Qualifications

  • EPA Universal License
  • BAS Experience
  • Experience with preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment

The schedule for this position is 2nd shift, from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and requires onsite work. This is a non-remote role.
