Facilities Manager
Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Manager for a contract to hire opportunity with our client in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Overview
The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of multiple facility locations, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient building operations across various sites. The role involves hands-on management and coordination to maintain high-quality facility services.
Responsibilities
- Support the senior facilities management team and assist with the delivery of quality facility management services.
- Develop and implement programs, processes, and procedures to reduce costs and increase productivity.
- Oversee reporting requirements and ensure timely completion of all facilities-related reports.
- Manage work assignments for technicians, vendors, and contractors.
- Lead facilities staff in delivering expected service levels within the prescribed budget.
- Assist with the development and implementation of annual management plans for the facilities.
- Manage capital and expense budgets in collaboration with client representatives.
- Ensure client satisfaction by providing responsive and creative solutions and maintaining positive relationships.
- Recommend capital improvements and prepare operating budget reports and forecasts.
- Achieve key performance indicators outlined in performance agreements.
- Manage contractors onsite, ensuring compliance with policies and quality standards.
- Oversee overall service delivery for contracted services, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in facilities management with management or technical emphasis. MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of industry experience in a corporate environment, third-party service provider, or as a consultant.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience managing both technical and administrative staff.
- Proficiency in MS programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Computer proficiency in CMMS systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with engineering backgrounds and building operations.
- Knowledge of Corrigo CMMS system.
