Talascend is currently seeking a Vehicle Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Milford, Michigan.

Overview

The Vehicle Technician at Milford Proving Grounds will perform a variety of technical tasks related to vehicle integration, test and validation, development, or instrumentation. The role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to handle diverse vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain current service procedures and practices.
  • Execute vehicle diagnostic procedures according to SI, including test drives for verification.
  • Complete assignments on time and with high quality.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment and communicate with external contacts via email and phone.
  • Adhere to safety standards and participate in team initiatives.
  • Create accurate documentation associated with work performed.
  • Perform physical tasks common to the role and assist with problem solving and task instruction creation.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

  • 2-year technical degree.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in diagnostic troubleshooting.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours during 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), Monday through Friday.
  • Must be comfortable working onsite without remote options.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EV (electric vehicle) experience.
  • Familiarity with Teams and Slack.
  • Experience working with dealership or off-shift vehicle technicians.


The shift is scheduled for 2nd shift, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
