Subcontracts Administrator
Talascend is currently seeking a Subcontracts Administrator for a contract opportunity with our client in Chandler, Arizona.
Overview
This role involves participating in the formation and administration of subcontracts for a major semiconductor fabrication project. The position requires managing various phases of subcontract sourcing, negotiation, award, and ongoing administration to ensure compliance with project requirements and successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop multiple contracts and services agreements, including sourcing, prequalification, issuing request for proposals, evaluating bids, and preparing contract documents.
- Implement subcontract management procedures and maintain records of tasks and responsibilities.
- Monitor subcontract progress, forecast potential issues, and communicate difficulties to management.
- Organize and lead meetings related to bid clarification and contract awards to ensure mutual understanding among stakeholders.
- Assist the project contracts team with administrative problems related to staffing, budgeting, procedures, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, and support staff on operational activities affecting contractual obligations and subcontract performance.
- Represent the company in contractual discussions of moderate complexity and ensure mutual understanding of subcontract terms.
- Prepare periodic status reports on contract performance, costs, and scope progress for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in a relevant field
- 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of work experience in subcontract administration
- Knowledge of procurement regulations, policies, and practices
- Experience in pricing, contract law, negotiations, and accounting
- Working knowledge of contracting practices in the engineering/construction industry
- Experience developing and recommending contractual solutions
- Strong organizational and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Proficiency in all phases of contract formation and award for large-sized, moderately complex contracts
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties through relevant experience, training, or education
