Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Subcontract Management Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Clay, New York.
Overview
This role involves participating in subcontract formation and administration, ensuring compliance with project requirements within a major manufacturing project in Clay, NY. The position focuses on managing subcontract processes, negotiations, and contract development for a semiconductor fabrications project.
Responsibilities
- Implement the supply chain assignment schedule and manage subcontract management tasks according to standard work procedures.
- Maintain continuous review of subcontract progress, forecast potential difficulties, and communicate issues to management.
- Coordinate operational activities affecting contractual rights, obligations, and subcontract performance.
- Manage moderately complex contract changes through negotiations and settlements.
- Conform and ensure subcontract execution, including directing negotiations and developing subcontract and service agreements.
- Prepare bidders’ lists, pre-qualify bidders, and issue bid request packages.
- Coordinate bidder questions, evaluate bids, and prepare commercial bid summaries and recommendations.
- Recommend approvals and prepare subcontract documents for execution.
- Organize and conduct meetings such as pre-bid, bid clarification, and pre-award meetings, and prepare meeting notes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent
- 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
- Expert knowledge of subcontract terms, EPC contracting practices, and project management
- Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities
- Strong negotiation, judgment, and decision-making skills
- Ability to operate as a trusted deputy of the project subcontract manager
- Full-time on-site availability
