Talascend is currently seeking an Electrical Planner for a contract opportunity with our client in Thousand Oaks, California.

Overview

The electrical planner role supports the asset management journey towards a world-class maintenance organization by providing efficient management of facilities maintenance and labor planning within a CMMS system. The position involves planning electrical maintenance and operations, coordinating activities, and ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Require in-depth electrical subject matter expert knowledge of facilities planning and scheduling.
  • Provide leadership through training, presentations, and team building, along with project management.
  • Manage multiple maintenance activities simultaneously with organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Communicate effectively with all management levels and a diverse customer base, including technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Create CMMS reports and submit work requests, write advanced queries and dashboards as needed.
  • Prioritize safety for oneself and others around.
  • Utilize personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office products like Excel.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities, collaborating with subcontractors to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Optimize maintenance inventory and manage asset and parts ordering processes.
  • Create and manage purchase requisitions and POs, ensuring approval before work scheduling.
  • Collect data, collaborate with operations, and maintain maintenance record compliance.
  • Coordinate with technicians and management regarding work execution and schedule adjustments.
  • Arrange for tools and equipment, track asset information, and continuously improve planning processes.
  • Participate in team meetings, provide reports, and identify risks with resolution plans.
  • Identify risks, ensure compliance with safety practices and environmental health programs.
  • Complete training requirements promptly and support business operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in electrical trade, facilities, operations, and customer service.
  • Knowledge of scheduling software, procurement systems, databases, and Microsoft Office programs, with the ability to learn new systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of EAMS CMMS and MRO system.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
