Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Overview
This role involves supporting operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment in assigned facilities. The technician assists both mobile engineers and control systems technicians, performing maintenance tasks independently as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
- Perform general interior maintenance such as HVAC/R coil cleaning, evaporator coil cleaning, and kitchen equipment maintenance (meat grinder, cuber, meat saw, slicers, etc.)
- Handle minor plumbing repairs
- Maintain lighting systems, including bulbs and ballasts
- Complete special tasks including painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned
- Follow all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and recognize hazards to propose elimination methods
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
- Document work performance and materials procurement as directed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license
- Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable
- Minimum of one (1) year of applicable work experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical
- Ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft., and possess mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Must pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening processes
Preferred Qualifications
- UST Class B Certification
- Ability to comply with both policies & procedures
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
