Talascend is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer applies technical expertise to ensure high-quality and efficient production processes for products, focusing on process development, improvement, and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide manufacturing support for specific product areas, particularly glass machining.
  • Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability and product health trends.
  • Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis.
  • Develop improvements in product design and manufacturing processes for cost and cycle time reductions.
  • Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.
  • Facilitate a self-driven workforce culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.
  • Test products and software.
  • Complete failure analysis, manufacturing assembly, and testing on returned goods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, test, fabrication, or assembly processes.
  • Must be a U.S. person.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
