Marketing Data Analyst
Talascend is currently seeking a Marketing Data Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with our client in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
Overview
The marketing analyst role involves researching market conditions, analyzing data, and supporting marketing and sales strategies to help drive business growth and analyze competitive activities within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data
- Conduct research on consumer opinions, marketing strategies, and competitor activities
- Devise and evaluate methods for collecting data, such as surveys and polls
- Gather and analyze data on competitors’ prices, sales, and marketing methods
- Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communication programs
- Collaborate with sales, SCM, marketing, and other teams to develop strategies and support campaign development
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, developing sales strategies, and coordinating internal communications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training required
- 2-4 years related experience required
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to process multiple data inputs
- Effective verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Basic knowledge of principles for marketing, promoting, and selling products or services
