Assembler
Talascend is currently seeking a Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Acton, Massachusetts.
Overview
This role involves assembling fabricated parts at floor stations, performing testing and calibration to ensure parts meet specified tolerances and product standards. The assembler uses hand and power tools to construct units according to established procedures and identifies and repairs components that do not meet quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and test components and finished products in accordance with engineering and product specifications.
- Inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and repair units that do not meet tolerance or testing requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Accurately document production activity and maintain required records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the assigned specialty area.
- Typically requires 2-4 years of experience in the field or a related area.
- Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
- Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines.
- Works under immediate supervision with limited need for independent judgment.
- Reports to a supervisor or manager.
