Mechanical Equipment Assembler
Talascend is currently seeking a Mechanical Equipment Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Overview
The role involves constructing, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment, machinery, and components, requiring attention to detail and technical knowledge. The position is for first shift and requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Construct, maintain, and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
- Identify parts for replacement and machines that need new parts.
- Place orders for parts as necessary.
- Perform a variety of assembly tasks with limited supervision.
- Complete tasks using creativity and judgment within established practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- 1 to 1.5 years of experience in similar positions.
- Small electronic assembly experience.
- Out of tech school or high school with computer knowledge.
- Technical knowledge related to mechanical assembly.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to accomplish goals.
- Works under general supervision, with some creativity and latitude.
- May require completion of an apprenticeship or formal training in a related area.
