Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Louisville, Kentucky.

Overview

The mobile maintenance technician performs preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment across assigned facilities. This role involves inspecting and repairing property interior and exterior systems to ensure optimal facility operations and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts, and maintain plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps.
  • Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, doors, and furniture.
  • Complete documentation for fire extinguishers and other building systems to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare, prime, and paint building interior and exterior surfaces, and perform general handyman tasks.
  • Complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
  • Prioritize work orders for preventative, corrective, and emergency tasks.
  • Update work order status in management systems and escalate issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools
  • Proficiency in basic computer application software such as MS Office, Outlook, and CMMS (Maximo)
  • Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs., climb ladders up to 30 ft., and work in adverse conditions including extreme temperatures
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
